Moral Decay

While the Body of Christ will have its witness globally, there is a mass falling away. The term "falling away" does not mean falling away from a saved state in Christ, but rather a falling away from the influence of Christianity and all things related to godliness. Satan has waged war from the beginning. We have read about the falling away of Israel in the accounts given to us in the Old Testament, and we are told there will come a falling away in the last days. We have witnessed the gradual decline in morality in the U.S. 

There has always been sin and its consequences. However, our nation is losing the intended guidance of the U.S. Constitution—a document constructed from Biblical principles—due to the influence of secularists and a general lack of civic discernment. This shift represents what we call "a falling away" from the Christian influence that once existed in society. While sin has always been present, it is now rampant and openly displayed. Our nation is heading toward judgment as it moves closer to embracing full-blown homosexuality, which will inevitably be followed by bestiality and the greater, gross abuse of children driven by sinful desires for gratification. We see historical examples of this extreme falling away in the history of Israel, which drifted into the same extreme, evil practices of the nations surrounding them.

While these depths of evil are not new, they are increasing globally, just as they did in the days prior to the worldwide flood. One of the signs of the rapid falling away in our present time is the cancerous infiltration and influence of Islam. Society, when influenced by Christianity, first adopts secularism. Once secularism is well entrenched, Islam can cause its greatest danger. Two factors contribute to a society collapsing and becoming enslaved by Islam: Satan’s primary and most effective counterpart to the follower of the Bible.

The Bible is clear on what not to do. Both the Old and New Testaments clearly instruct believing families of all dispensations not to succumb to them.

Old Testament Witness to this reality:

Leviticus 18:22 - 22 You shall not lie with a male as [a]one lies with a female; it is an abomination.

Leviticus 20:13 - 13 If there is a man who lies with a male as those who lie with a woman, both of them have committed a detestable act; they shall surely be put to death. Their bloodguiltiness is upon them.

Romans 1:26-27 -

26 For this reason God gave them over to degrading passions; for their women exchanged the natural function for that which is unnatural, 27 and in the same way also the men abandoned the natural function of the woman and burned in their desire toward one another, men with men committing indecent acts and receiving in their own persons the due penalty of their error.

1 Corinthians 6:9-10 - 9 Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, 10 nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God.

1 Timothy 1:9-10 - 9 realizing the fact that law is not made for a righteous person, but for those who are lawless and rebellious, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and profane, for those who kill their fathers or mothers, for murderers 10 and immoral men and homosexuals and kidnappers and liars and perjurers, and whatever else is contrary to sound teaching,

This grievous sin has entered the Church. Why? Mainly because of weakness in the pulpit and among the ruling leaders of local churches. How so? Through compromise—choosing to 'go along to get along' while failing to count the cost. Scripture is the polar opposite of how the world thinks, leaving no room for compromise.
