Matthew, Mark, and Luke give us the full picture of the teaching regarding the mystery of the kingdom. This mystery is about Israel, not the Church (the body of Christ), and as such, it must be understood as applying only to Israel. This information was completely unknown in Old Testament (O.T.) literature but was, at that time, being revealed to the disciples. Its backdrop is the rejection of the presentation of the gospel of the kingdom of God/Heaven, which is not the gospel of grace. These are two distinct and separate gospels, or "sets of good news." Getting this wrong (the cause) results in false doctrine (effect). The outcome of this affects how we understand God’s word (the result).
Critical Note: The Church did not exist at that time. The message was to an unbelieving Israel, who rejected their promised Prince who was to sit on David’s throne as king.
When referring to Jesus, the Christ, it is correctly stated as follows: Jesus was a prophet (past session), is presently our High Priest (present session), and will be the promised King who sits on David's throne in the future millennial kingdom (future session).
Furthermore, and emphatically declaring it based on sound and correct Biblical data, Jesus as God has always been ruler, king. As Jesus, He is not king because His function as the Son is different from the Father and the Holy Spirit. All three are God “singular.” Jesus was promised to be King in Jerusalem in the future Kingdom on earth that was promised to David and Israel.
Jesus is God, only one, and Son, second person of the trinity. As Jesus, he is the promised messianic king to sit on David's throne in Jerusalem during the Millennial Kingdom. It is in his present session, as his divine right according to God’s word, to be appointed as a Prince. “Acts 5:31 “He is the one whom God exalted to His right Hand as a Prince and a Savior, to grant repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.” See also Acts 3:15 as Jesus was and still is the Prince of Life whom God raised from the dead and as steed above is exalted to His right Hand as Prince and a Savior.
Conclusion: For my brothers and sisters who are the majority of believers in our present time, have been duped into believing that Jesus is, in a spiritual sense, on the throne of David. This is totally incorrect and impossible in his present session. The facts are as follows, Jesus as the second person of the trinity is not and has not been crowned as King of David's promised future kingdom. That is an absolute fact, based on the clear teaching of the Scripture. Please not again as quoted above that Acts 5:31 teaches us Jesus’ position and title as the promised messiah King. Note the clear straight forward declaration “He is the one whom God (the father) exalted to His right Hand as Prince and a Savior, to grant repentance and forgiveness of sins.”
When referring to Jesus, the Christ - it is properly stated as follows: Jesus was a prophet (past seccion), is presently our high Priest (present session) and will be the Promised King who sits on David's throne in the future millennial kingdom (future session).
