Dispensationalism

     What is dispensationalism? It is, in essence, the outline of God’s plan for our universe and specifically Earth. Dr. Charles Ryrie defines dispensation as follows: “Dispensationalism views the world as a household run by God.  In His household-world, God is dispensing or administering its affairs according to His own will and in various stages of revelation in the passage of time. These various stages mark off the distinguishable different economies in the outworking of His total purpose, and these different economies constitute the dispensations.”[1]  

 We highly recommend this book, as it is perhaps the best book that accurately explains dispensationalism in a scholarly way. However, some operate outside this Golden Rule and are, as such, agenda-driven. When this happens, that person becomes the enemy of truth. This agenda-driven manipulation of truth bypasses a normal, plain reading in favor of a narrative designed to mislead those the agenda seeks to convert.

How is this teaching arrived at? It is so simple that it defies the depravity of the human mind. Because it is God’s word, it threatens man’s sin nature. This nature does not want to bow to God’s word or let God speak as He has in Scripture. However, anyone who submits to God and His will—knowing, accepting, and embracing the facts because he or she has consistently followed the "golden rule of language"—will arrive at the correct outcome. The process for achieving that outcome is the same across all literature: let the text speak. Do not reinterpret the text by allegorizing, spiritualizing, or otherwise manipulating the author's intended meaning.                                                                                                                                  

When these rules are ignored, set aside, or manipulated outside their meaning, the text is violated, and truth is compromised. This site defies the norm of Christian sites in that it refuses to allow anything outside this foundational rule to be used to mislead souls created in God's image. God means what He says, and He clearly states what He means in the Bible He has caused to exist for our education about Him, about us, and why?

So, to arrive at the correct result, we must follow the rules of grammar, allowing the text to speak naturally within its context. This principle is expressed as follows: "Read, study (observe), and outline (organize) to arrive at the correct understanding." By doing this, we allow the author’s words to speak for themselves.

   Antagonists who twist Scripture stand against the plain truth of God's word. Those who oppose it will always seek to destroy the truth with straw man arguments, garnished with slick speech and endless circular reasoning.

   The Greek word οἰκονόμος (oikonomos) translates to "steward" or "manager." It is a compound of οἶκος (house) and νόμος (rule or law). If we ask whose house the universe and Earth belong to, the answer is clear: they are God's house. He rules over His creation according to His divine purpose and plan. It is truly that simple.  

  When we observe the Bible correctly and honestly—allowing the text to speak naturally within its context—we will always arrive at the truth illustrated in the chart above. The chart serves as a direct expression of correct, faithful biblical observation. ✔️

 A New Heaven and Earth 2 PETER 3: 10 - 17

10 "But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, in which the heavens will pass away with a roar and the elements will be destroyed with intense heat, and the earth and its works will be burned up.

11 Since all these things are to be destroyed in this way, what sort of people ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness, 12 looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be destroyed by burning, and the elements will melt with intense heat! 13 But according to His promise we are looking for new heavens and a new earth, in which righteousness dwells.

14 Therefore, beloved, since you look for these things, be diligent to be found by Him in peace, spotless and blameless, 15 and regard the patience of our Lord as salvation; just as also our beloved brother Paul, according to the wisdom given him, wrote to you, 16 as also in all his letters, speaking in them of these things, in which are some things hard to understand, which the untaught and unstable distort, as they do also the rest of the Scriptures, to their own destruction. 17 You therefore, beloved, knowing this beforehand, be on your guard so that you are not carried away by the error of unprincipled men and fall from your own steadfastness, 18 but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory, both now and to the day of eternity. Amen."

 The final dispensation, the Millennial Kingdom, is the last dispensation on this earth. Beginning with Innocence, history concludes with the promised kingdom to David and the Jewish people, rather than the Body of Christ, the Church. We are not Israel, nor have we replaced Israel. This earth is not our home; we are merely passing through. Maranatha! Come, Lord Jesus. ✔️

Concerning Salvation in Dispensationalism:  Dispensationalism holds, and has always held, that salvation from Genesis to Revelation was, is, and always will be through faith in the specific information revealed to each generation—whether in the past, the present, or the future. Before Christ's death, burial, and resurrection—and even for a short while after—the knowledge that Jesus would die was divinely hidden; this bedrock doctrinal truth is mentioned five times in Paul’s writings.✔️

1. Romans 16:25 - 25 “Now to Him who is able to establish you according to my gospel and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery which has been kept secret for long ages past,”

2. 1 Corinthians 2:7 “but we speak God’s wisdom in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God predestined before the ages to our glory.”

3. Ephesians 3:9 - and to bring to light what is the administration of the mystery which for ages has been hidden in God who created all things; 

4. Colossians 1:26 - “that is, the mystery which has been hidden from the past ages and generations, but has now been manifested to His saints,” 

5. Colossians 1:27 - “to whom God willed to make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.”
